The 2015–16 Dr Harty Cup was the 96th staging of the Harty Cup since its establishment by the Munster Council of Gaelic Athletic Association in 1918.[1] The group stage placings were released on 19 May 2015.[2] The competition ran from 13 October 2015 to 20 February 2016.
Thurles CBS were the defending champions, however, they failed to make it to the knockout stage.[3][4]
The Harty Cup final was played on 20 February 2016 at MacDonagh Park in Nenagh, between Ardscoil Rís and Our Lady's Secondary School, in what was their first ever meeting in the final. Ardscoil Rís won the match by 0–11 to 0–08 to claim their fourth Harty Cup title overall and a first title in two years.[5]
St Colman's College's Stephen Condon was the top scorer with 2-35.
