While on a trip to a village, Amar is asked to stay in the Srivastav's residence. He meets with their stubborn and headstrong daughter, Jaya, and both, after a series of misunderstandings and confrontations, fall in love, and marry. Jaya moves in with Amar at his residence in Bombay, where she meets with their neighbours, Mr. Dharamchand and his wife. And then Amar starts suspecting Jaya of having an affair with Dharamchand.
