Oribatida (sailkapen zaharretan, Cryptostigmata), akaroen barruko orden bat da, Sarcoptiformesen barruan sailkatuak. 0,2 eta 1,4 milimetro arteko tamaina dute.
Oribatidoek metabolismo txikia dute, garapen geldoa eta fekunditate baxua. Espezie gehienetan helduek bizitza erlatiboki luzea dute. Adibidez baso epeletako lurzoruetan bizi diren hainbat espezieetan arraultzetik helduak direnerarte hilabeteak edo bi urte arte igaro daitezke. Oribatidaren barruko akaroek sei garapen aktibo dituzte: larba-aurrekoa, larba, 3 ninfa egoera eta heldua. Garai hauetariko bakoitzean material ezberdinaz elikatzen dira, bizirik edo hilda dauden landareak eta onddoak barne, likenak edo usteltzen ari den haragia. Batzuk predatzaileak dira, baina bat ere ez da parasitoa. Espezie berdinean larba garaian eta helduaroan elikadura ezberdina izan dezakete.
Oribatidak garrantzi ekonomikoa du, lurzoruko material organikoaren suntsiketa azkartzen dutelako.
