Donald Sewell Lopez Jr. (kelahiran 1952) adalah Arthur E. Link Distinguished University Professor of Buddhist and Tibetan Studies di University of Michigan, dalam Jurusan Bahasa dan Budaya Asia.[1]
Kehidupan
Lopez lahir di Washington, D.C. dan merupakan putra dari pilot Angkatan Udara AS dan pegawai Smithsonian Institution Donald Lopez. Ia dididik di University of Virginia, meraih gelar B.A. (Kehormatan) dalam Studi Keagamaan pada 1974, gelar M.A. dalam Studi Buddhis pada 1977, dan gelar dokterandes dalam Studi Buddhis pada 1982.[1] Ia menikahi sarjana Studi Keagamaan menonjol lainnya, Tomoko Masuzawa.[2]
