Pertempuran Chancellorsville merupakan salah satu pertempuran besar di Perang Saudara Amerika yang juga merupakan pertempuran utama dari Kampanye Chancellorsville. Pertempuran ini berlangsung dari tanggal 30 April hingga 6 Mei di Spotsylvania County, Virginia, dekat desa Chancellorsville dan melibatkan antara pasukan Uni, Tentara Potomac yang dipimpin oleh MayJend. Joseph Hooker melawan pasukan Konfederasi, Tentara Virginia Utara yang dipimpin oleh Jend. Robert E. Lee.

Pertempuran ini berhasil dimenangkan pihak Konfederasi dan meningkatkan reputasi Lee sebagai ahli taktik karena berani membagi pasukannya ketika melawan pasukan yang jumlahnya lebih besar, dimana sebagian pasukannya, dipimpin Thomas Jackson melakukan manuver untuk menyerang sisi kanan pasukan Uni. Namun, pertempuran ini juga menimbulkan jumlah korban jiwa (tewas, terluka, maupun yang tertawan/hilang) yang besar dari pasukan Konfederasi (total 22% dari pasukan yang bertempur), termasuk salah satunya MayJend. Thomas Jackson, sehingga ada yang menyebutkan bahwa kemenangan Konfederasi bisa dikategorikan sebagai kemenangan Piris.[6]

Hasil pertempuran ini membuat Lee, yang semakin percaya dengan kemampuan pasukannya, untuk menginvasi wilayah Uni untuk kedua kalinya yang nantinya dikenal sebagai Kampanye Gettysburg.
